Troop 514 Positions of Responsibility

All Scout Leaders are expected to:

• Set a good example
• Enthusiastically wear the Scout uniform correctly
• Live by the Scout Oath and Law
• Show Scout Spirit

The Troop Scribe

• Attends and keep the official records of the Patrol Leaders’ Council
• Takes notes (minutes) at PLC meetings and distributes to troop
• Takes attendance (sign-in sheet) at PLC meetings
• Record attendance of individual Scouts at meetings and activities
• Must take attendance at every troop meeting, but can assign the duty to Patrol Leaders as long as he collects the form by the end of the meeting
• With contributions from other Scouts, publishes the bi-monthly Troop Newsletter, The Trailhead.
• Attend as many meetings and activities as possible or makes arrangements with another Scout to record attendance when he cannot be there.
• Hands out patrol sign-up sheets for each monthly outing at least 3 weeks beforehand, and collects sheets back again at the end of the meeting
