Responsibility
All Scout Leaders are expected to:
- Set a good example
- Enthusiastically wear the
Scout uniform correctly
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Show Scout Spirit
The Chaplain’s Aide
- Provide religious aspect to
Troop activities – opening prayer, grace, concluding prayer -- as
requested.
- Tell Scouts about religious
emblem program
- Ensure religious holidays are
considered in Troop program planning
- Plan religious observances at
Troop outings, including meeting our Sunday obligation during campouts. This would include finding at least 2
different churches near the campsite location (www.masstimes.org) and
learning mass times before the outing, and presenting this information in
writing to the Scoutmaster. (May

- Collect church bulletins from
all churches the troop attends while on weekend outings and assemble into
scrapbook or binder.
- Encourage the observance of
Scout Sunday (usually first Sunday in February)
- Plan Scout's Own when requested
for weekend outings
