Troop 514 Positions of
Responsibility
All Scout Leaders are expected to:
- Set a good example
- Enthusiastically wear the
Scout uniform correctly
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Show Scout Spirit
The Troop Guide(s)
- Is effectively the Patrol
Leader for the new Scout patrol and therefore possesses all of the
responsibilities of a Patrol Leader
- Attends PLC meetings with the
elected Patrol Leader of the New Scout Patrol
- Advises elected Patrol Leader
of the New Scout Patrol of his duties and responsibilities at Patrol
Leader Council meetings
- Prevents harassment of the new
Scouts by older Scouts
- Helps Assistant Scoutmaster(s)
train new Scout Patrol members
- Helps organize and then attends
and runs the New Scout training outing.
- Guides new Scouts through early
troop experiences to help them become comfortable in the troop and the
outdoors
- Must be at least First Class

- Complete the Council National
Youth Leader Training (White Stag) (preferred)
