June:  A DOUBLE SHOT of adventure.

Gettysburg National Military Park Campout -- a Thursday to Sunday event camping in Gettysburg National Military Park.  We've managed to attract someone who's been trained as an official guide to really make the most of this unique experience.
We will leave early Thursday, as early as drivers are willing to drive, before sunrise.  We will spend the our day there visiting locations in the general sequence of the three-day battle between Union and Confederate forces.  We will stop by the visitor center and the electronic battlefield to gain an appreciation for the scope and complexity of this historic venue.  We'll have time to visit the city of Gettysburg itself and will work in a nice restaurant dinner along the way as a treat.
This will be limited to the first 24 Scouts and Leaders per the arrangements made with Gettysburg.

The Summer Solstice Lake Michigan Sailing and Beach Camping Jamboree.  We again collaborate with the Indiana Sailing Association at the East Chicago Marina for a unique adventure -- sailing on one of our Great Lakes.  We will join up with a couple of East Chicago Troops, in hoping for good weather and steady winds off the lake!  Permission SLIP now available.
